Recounts visit to public baths and a newly opened Red Cross club, where the movie "Impatient Years" was playing. While shopping for Edith, encountered Marlene Dietrich and got her autograph. Describes passing a field hospital and notes the German offensive air force is no more. Obtained a billet in a private building and recounts conversation with French family across the hall.
