The Association Seminar (vol. 25 no. 3), December 1916
Description:
The Association Seminar was published from October 1901 to February 1918. It replaced the Association Outlook, which ceased publication after its July 1900 edition and the departure of Dr. Luther Halsey Gulick, the main editor. As with the Association Outlook, the Association Seminar continued to published the Training School Notes, which listed school events and information on and from Alumni. In addition, the Springfield Student (the Student), the student newspaper on campus, was first published as part of the Association Seminar during the 1909-1910 school year. The main goal of the Association Seminar was to publish works by the Student, Faculty and Alumni of the International YMCA Training School, now Springfield College, which may not otherwise have been released to the larger YMCA public. These works include articles on physical education, religion, sporting events, boys work, and other topics important to the YMCA. Other sections within the Association Seminar include Alumni Notes, Training School Notes, and Training School Library. There is no reason given for the publication ending and, as far as it is known, it was not replaced by any other publication.
