Notes:
The record for this season was 9 wins and 2 ties. The team won the EASAW Regional Championship and placed third in the AIAW Nationals. The total season goals scored by Springfield were 59, with opponents scoring 10. The Springfield College Field Hockey program started in the 1950s as an intramural sport. The early days consisted of few practices and contests and gradually grew into the intercollegiate sport it is today. In 1970, the program's iconic coach, Dottie Zenaty, returned to her alma mater to coach field hockey.
