Medium small book with a red marbled cover, balck spine, and black corners. First page is inscribed "Fannie Dora Allen, 9 Ashburton Place, Boston 1881", and in a different color "Arlington 1882". Contains scraps of fabric from various dresses, glued onto the page on one edge. Underneath the fabric scraps a short note is written, describing what part of the garment it was for, the year and season bought and made, the kind of fabric it is, how much their originally was, and who made the dress. Some of the scraps also have more detailed descriptions of the dress they came. Also mentions if and when the dress was remade or dyed. Fabric scraps date from 1881 to 1897. Book is in condition, but many of the scraps are frayed. Many blank pages in back of book. Size 6 1/4" by 9 1/4" 25 pages. Red mottled cover.
