Last night there was a wild party, Nick was the only one who did not drink any alcohol. Many of the men who have vowed total abstinence at home have lifted the ban on occasion since coming to France. Nick's love for the Letty and the promise he made to her allowed him to turn down every drink offered to him. They had the best Thanksgiving in France with turkey, salad, and all the fixings. Since Nick was the only one who was conscious at the end, he cleared up all the tables so that they could have breakfast in the morning.
