World War II scrapbook, Allied War Relief Society Majority of scrapbook is newspaper clippings about the Arlington Allied War Relief Society, mainly from the Arlington Advocate. Many of the clippings are meeting notes, with attendance. Also includes summaries and notices of fundraising events, including auctions, concerts, and festivals. There are also summaries of the financial status of the society. Several of the clippings are are requests for new members or donations, and a copy of the letter sent to potential new members is included. Many of the clippings have to deal with the society's work in donating clothes. Many articles are calls for more materials or volunteers, and items made and sent. Towards the end of the scrapbook, includes thank you letters from organizations and sometimes individuals who benefited from the work of the committee. Articles are well labeled, with most including the date and newspaper printed, and are in chronological order, dating from April 9, 1942 to Nov. 18, 1943.
