Three saints in the same holy water basin.. Charivari
Description:
The three "saints" in question are Marie Joseph Louis Adolphe Thiers (1797-1877), Charles Forbes de Thyon, Conte de Montalembert (1810-1870), and Conte Louis Mathieu Molé (1781-1855). Any new movement for freedom will promptly be extinguished, using the candle extinguishers they are wearing as hats. There is a small sign on the left hand side that states, "de profundis," an insinuation of the church and government's control over the educational system in France.
