'This is my mom and dad's wedding photo. They were married at Immaculate Conception Church and the reception was at my grandmother's home. My parents were very poor. It was the Great Depression, but they look quite elegant. My mom's wedding outfit cost $11.00 and at the reception they had sandwiches and beer. My parents met at a dance at her church. He had never been there before. They danced and, according to both of them, fell in love at first sight. They were always a very romantic couple--very much in love.
