'The family always celebrated the holidays at our home, locates at the corner of Derby and Lowell Streets. It was built in 1887. We have many happy memories in this house. Many people who emigrated from England stayed at this house for a while. We discovered this at the National Archives in Waltham many years later. That was the federal law at the time--that immigrants, before entry in the United States, had to declare a place of residency.'
