'Mother Therese is an inspiration to me in all ways. She is a saint who was an example on how to live. I wanted to draw her showing her sacred face. I also wanted her hands to show the labor of love that is worn and embedded in the veins, nails and composure of her precious hands. The background is dark showing the need in this dark world for her kind of light. As the angels came to get her at her death, there is a representation of angel's wing lifting her soul into heaven.'
