'My grandfather, Frank W. Logan, was the conductor on the last passenger train to run on the Watertown Branch Railroad. When the line was abandoned as a freight line I worked for 10 years to make part of the property a park. This photo is of the ribbon cutting for the new 'Chemistry Station Park' on the Watertown branch line. This preserves the history of railroading in Waltham, the name of the Chemistry neighborhood, and provides a park for the area. Pictured are City Councilor Sarafina 'Sally' Collura (in black), City Councilor Robert G. Logan (maroon jacket), Mayor Jeannette A. McCarthy (blue shirt), neighborhood youth (Red Sox cap), and City Councilor Diane LeBlanc (black pants).'
