'I love this portrait because my mother is in it as a little girl. She always told me stories of her childhood and adult life. This shows a happy moment in the summer of 1914 before the family grew to seven children. Pictured: my maternal grandfather Jacob Nelson, my mother Ella Mabel Nelson, my aunt Alice Marian Nelson (baby), and my maternal grandmother Hilma Constance Nelson. Location: Nantasket Beach.'
