'Shirley, a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art, wanted to do something special for the 250th anniversary of Halifax celebrated in 1984. She sketched in pen and ink four well-known buildings in the town. This particular print is of the Town Hall. Shirley sketched it in 1983. It was also included in note paper along with five other notable Halifax landmarks.'
