'I served on a number of town-appointed committees before being appointed as Town Clerk. I was the Clerk for ten years. As the daughter of immigrants, both the Clerk's position, the flag which had flown over the Battle Green, and the accolades received from colleagues and citizens on that day were extraordinarily meaningful. The wall quilt showing the Town Hall, was a parting gift to me from my co-workers. They commissioned it and then signed it all around the border.
