Happiness is celebrating the birthplace of American liberty!
Description:
'To say I am patriotic is an understatement. I grew up in Lexington, graduated in 1976, and majored in American history and American government. The happiest day of the year is Patriots' Day when everyone celebrates the birthplace of American liberty. From elementary school on I have been an active participant and volunteer in shaping policy in Lexington. I have served as a two-term selectmen, including as chairman, President of the Town Meeting Members Association, long-time Town Meeting member and more. My proudest role has been as Chairman of the Tourism Committee and leading the efforts to begin the Liberty Ride Trolley tour of Lexington and Concord. Patriots' Day is a mandatory time for our family to be in Lexington no matter what. We have not missed a parade since I moved here in 1963.
