'This photo was taken in the summer of 1953 at Buttonwood Park with my brothers and sisters. We sat on the little pond, which was located on the west side of the 'green house' on 'the great lawn.' The little pond, which is now filled in with grass, still has a little of the stone edging left that encircled the pond. Bobby Perry had just won a prize in the fishing derby held on Buttonwood Park Pond. There is a large rock (slightly smaller now) where we all sat and had photos taken of our growing Perry family. Unfortunately, this beautiful area will soon be taken over by the Buttonwood Park Zoo expansion. Pictured, from left to right: Angela, Betty, Marie, Tony, Bobby, and Valerie Perry.'
