'My grandfather Axel Gunnar Gornson (DOB 1886) came to the USA in 1913 to establish his carpentry business. He sent for my grandmother and the children. They came through Ellis Island. My mother was 6 and Arvid was 5 and they always remembered seeing the Statue of Liberty. My grandfather died in the flu epidemic of 1918 and Lennart died in 1919. Pictured, from back to front, left to right: Axel Gunnar Gornson, Hannah Karolina (Suensson) Goranson, Arvid Einar Goranson, Alva Dagney Maria Goranson, Gosta Lennart Goranson.
