'I purchased Provincetown Advocate in 1976. First Provincetown native to purchase (own) the Advocate. First Portuguese-American to own the paper. Ran it as editor and publisher until sold to The Banner in 2000. It was 151 years old and the new owner killed it. Pictured: Duane A. Steele. Location: 100 Bradford Street.'
