'Previous to fire, the Wayland Fire Department had only call (part-time) firefighters. This fire pointed out the need for a full-time professional force. One month after the fire, 4 full-time firefighters were hired. Probably taken by Paul Kohler. Location: Old Connecticut Path at Simpson Drive.'
