'My mother wanted to brag. It was only yesterday. I remember that the Purpose School station wagon, driven by Mrs. Highlight, picked me up at home and brought me home. I had to wear a construction-paper acorn attached to a piece of yarn around my neck, on which was written my name--Theresa. My mother still has it.
