McCormack informs Pete Rozelle that one of the reasons he wanted to get together was to discuss the National Football League situation in Japan. He also reminds Rozelle of the letter he sent to him in December of 1986 with reference to Coca-Cola. Attached is the December 1986 letter from McCormack to Rozelle indicating that everything is progressing smoothly in Japan with reference to Coca-Cola's sponsorship of the closed circuit telecast of the Super Bowl. McCormack notes that there is a possibility he will be in Japan at the time of the Super Bowl and will see the game with Weldon Johnson. If this is the case, he will provide Rozelle with Johnson's reaction. He invites Rozelle and is wife, Carrie to the America's Cup in Perth following the Australian Open.
