A letter to Edward Hitchcock in which Benjamin Silliman mentions a new journal by Ami Boué that he plans to share with Hitchcock. Silliman informs Hitchcock that James Deane sent him a "plaster & cast" of "so-called bird tracks," a description of which Silliman would like to publish in the American Journal of Science, pending Hitchcock's favorable opinion.
