Item Text: We were headed from Fenway to watch the runners and had gotten almost as far as the fire house on Boylston when we heard the first explosion. Even after the second explosion, I didn't process it being anything so horrific. We stopped heading toward the finish line...I though maybe there were out of control students and we were hearing some kind of police crowd control device. Once we saw people visibly upset coming from the area, we knew it was something worse and texted the friends that were supposed to meet us at the finish line to make sure they were ok. Thank goodness for a long ladies room line leaving Fenway or we may have been in the middle of the bombimg.
