McCormack provides E. M. "Chick" Hood with a general overview of his autumn schedule in the hopes of setting up an appropriate meeting during the time frame Hood has suggested. He also includes a couple of additional ideas presented to him by their classical music people which he would like Hood to add on to the letter McCormack sent him on July 28th. These ideas include a James Galway "Golden Galway" series package, and the use of one of the top young pianists in the world such as Donohoe, Gavrilov, Alexeev, or Thibaudet in a series of concerts commemorating the 50th anniversary of Rachmaninov's deathm which will take place in 1993. McCormack looks forward to hearing from Hood with reference to the schedule suggestions he mentioned. Attached is a memorandum from John Webber to McCormack indicating that he discussed McCormack's July 5th memo with Chris Harrison of their Artists Division. Webber attaches Harrison's memo providing Harrison's thoughts on the World Gold Council, James Galway, Rachmaninov Gold Centenary, the Barbican Great Orchestras of the World, Domingo/Carreras/Kiri Te Kanawa, and the Great Conductors of the Past.
