Memorandum from Mark H. McCormack to Arthur Klebanoff and Ray Cave
Description:
McCormack asks Arthur Klebanoff and Ray Cave to tell him how he might respond to the attached letter concerning Blue & Gold Illustrated when they meet in New York next week. Attached is a letter marked personal and confidential from Lee E. Dirks to McCormack asking if he or one of his clients might have an interest in acquiring Blue & Gold Illustrated, the sports specialty publication covering University of Notre Dame Athletics. Dirks indicates that his firm is the most active firm in the nation in representing sellers of daily newspapers and non-daily newspaper groups and explains that they have been enlisted by the owner of Blue & Gold Illustrated to assist him in exploring the possible sale of his publication. Dirks notes that a colleague of his has written Peter Johnson about this as Johnson represents Joe Montana, but he thought McCormack might have other clients who might be interested in this opportunity. Dirks provides information about the publication, encloses a copy and indicates that they have prepared a detailed presentation which they can send if McCormack is interested. Enclosure not with letter.
