Memorandum from Mark H. McCormack to the Golf Committee concerning Rolex Mixed Golf 1980
Description:
McCormack informs the Golf Committee that he got the feeling from Andre Heiniger that he does not want to do a Rolex Mixed event at Japan in 1980 as originally planned. He also mentions that John Read thinks Rolex should do this not only in 1980 but on an annual basis. McCormack indicates that Heiniger will confirm either interest or disinterest of Rolex in the Mixed event when they meet in Rio in two weeks. He notes that Renown might want to take on this sponsorship if Rolex is not interested. He notes that Arnold Palmer and Laura Baugh will be the American team in this event.
