'I took this photograph for submission to the Bellingham Library's 300th Anniversary Bellingham Photography Show. High Street is located in my North Main Street neighborhood and we often walk to the bridge. Over the years it has changed. One year the flora was beautiful, but I hear it was invasive purple loosestrife. Even though I have lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years, only in the last year did I also learn there is a hiking trail located behind the athletic field on High Street, that takes you down to the banks of the river. We have hiked that trail often since then.'
