'Officer Guyette, known as George during his life, was the first police fatality in Brockton. He was shot through the heart while responding to a call of domestic violence on November 29, 1919 on Summer Street in Brockton, aged 35. Officer Guyette was the brother of my great-great-grandmother, Blanche Marion (Guyette) Benoit. Pictured: Officer Jean Baptiste George Guyette.'
