'After winning a silent auction bid at Pilgrim Hall Museum's annual summer fundraiser, a local group of friends got a lesson in sea clamming from experienced hand John Moran (at right). Bill Keohan, known as 'Mr. Community Preservation' in Plymouth, joined my husband Ted Curtin, my sister Kim DeFabio and myself for a wonderful morning on Plymouth's Long Beach. After filling our clam baskets, we learned how to prepare the clams for chowder from John, a retired surgeon. The chowder was the best I've ever had.
