Additional text from accompanying material: Depot Square Filling Station, South Hamilton, circa 1935. The evolution of the A.C. Cummings' Livery Stable to a service station. Operated by the son, A. Merrill Cummings, pictured in the middle with his partner on the right, Donald C. Davis. The gentleman on the left of Mr. Cummings is Marcius C. Babcock, an interested bystander. A. Merrill Cummings was Hamilton's Chief of the Fire Department for many years. Donald C. Davis is the son of Doctor Charles H. Davis. Removed to 195 Main St. Wenham by Cy Campbell to use for antiques and a new service station erected on this site by Shell Oil Company in 1963.
