Sachs Gets Told-- Irrespressible Eddie Sachs, left, of Detroit stuck out his tongue yesterday when he heard Tom Binford, U.S. Auto club president, right, tell the press that Sachs had been put on probation for a year, forbidden to make "any further irresponsible statements" about officiating in the 500-mile Memorial Day race. Under the probation, Sachs will be permitted to drive in USAC races if he can hold his tongue. He was called in, Binford said, for questioning USAC officials' integrity. Sachs Contended winner Parnelli Jones should have been flagged off the track when Jones' car began throwing oil late in t he race.
