Description:
Edmund Quincy writes to William Lloyd Garrison congratualting him on his restored health and offers some suggestions to improve the Liberator. Quincy states "the Liberator has faults" and suggets a number of different methods for Garrison to improve the paper's production, often comparing his work to Joshua Leavitt's newspaper, The Emancipator.

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed on paper with an embossed logo in the head- spine corner that says "London Superfine" in a circle around the image of a crown. Above the logo is a checkmark, written in pencil, while just to the right of the logo the number "86" is written, also in pencil. Towards the fore edge, there is a purple oval stamp including the words "Garrison MSS." Along the spine edge of the first page, the phrase "V13, P86" is written in pencil. Additionally, there are a number of brown spots across the first page.
