Elizabeth Stanley writes to William Lloyd Garrison informing him that the Duchess of Argyle wishes to see him while he is in London. Stanley tells Garrison The Duchess of Argyle's schedule and says "she would be glad to see you quickly at breakfast."

In the head- spine corner of the first page, the word "(Answered.)" is written and underlined in pencil. Additionally, under the salutation, the number "116" is written in pencil.
