Reuben Whitcomb Jr. writes to Amos A. Phelps requesting he write back on the $25 raised for mission work. He asks Phelps "Will you please write us what your expectations were on this subject and also any facts respecting the Mission that may be of interest, that you would communicate it." He includes a list of the names of the donors who raised the money.
