E. Whitney writes to Amos A. Phelps about his desire in meeting Phelps in a few weeks. He writes, "It is my desire to arrange the unsettled business between us to close matters, which have on account of the peculiar circumstances in which I have been placed for a few years last past, without unnecessary delay."
