Description:
George Thompson writes to William Lloyd Garrison about the meeting Garrison was unable to attend, saying he "did my best to fill your place" and calling it a "a very fine meeting". He describes his plans for the following few days, which include visiting with "Dr. & Rachel Moore", the M'Kim's, and the Motts before he will return to Boston.

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white, lined paper with an embossed oval logo in the head- spine corner of each page. Above the salutation the number "13" is written in pencil and in the head- fore corner, "1865" is added in pencil after the date. On the adjacent page, along the spine edge, "G.T. Phila., Jan. 21, 1865." is also written in pencil.
