Letter from Elizur Wright, New York, to Amos Augustus Phelps, 1835 Nov[ember] 26
Description:
Elizur Wright Jr. writes to Amos A. Phelps regarding a list of names of abolitionists in Connecticut. He writes that this information "might be useful for you to know. But as I had not many names to give, and most if not all of them being already known to you, I thought my writing would cost me more than it would be worth to you. Connecticut is more unknown to me, in our cause, than any other free state. I hope will serve it as you did Maine-give us a list of 500 names, at least, of them who will work for us." He also asks for material to be published in the Quarterly, as well as writes of Brother Thompson's affairs.
