Letter from Elizur Wright, New York, to Amos Augustus Phelps, 1836 Jan[uary] 21
Description:
Elizur Wright Jr. writes to Amos A. Phelps about the Northampton Anti-Slavery Convention and how he nearly converted Mr. Todd of Northampton to the anti-slavery side. He writes, "He has been on the wrong side--an astonishing change is going on in that region-he thinks he shall soon come out and preach on our side." He also asks Phelps to give him an account of the Farmington affair for the human rights.
