Description:
George Thompson writes to Maria Weston Chapman thanking her for publishing one of his speeches at the India House. He is sending her speeches which discuss a defense of the Raja and speech arguing for a Commitee to Enquire into the conduct of colonel Ovans. He intends to republish her translation of "marie" in a monthly magazine of which he is the editor. He asks her to send him any publications regarding the antislavery question. There is also annotations in a different pen and color in the top left of letter sideways that says "I send you also a letter written by me and sent by the Raja to the Governor General of India."
