Adin Ballou writes to Samuel May acknowledging he received $42 from May in his last letter "for the use of Charles May, under my personal trust & direction, to build him a woodshed &c." He also shares his "joy at your appointment to the General Agency" of the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society.
