Letter from Mary White, Boylston, [Massachusetts], to Maria Weston Chapman, 1839 Dec[ember] 2
Description:
Mary White writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to how much the merchandise sent to the October anti-slavery fair sold for and some members of her society thought it should have been given to the new organization fair. Mr. Torrey has been lecturing with them, in favor of the new organization but she believes he has "not made many proselytes however." The bedquilt has been purchased for Mr. Garrison "but at what price we know not."
