Description:
Josiah Henshaw writes to Samuel May that he has "engage[d] the Vestry under the Congregational Church in this Place, in which to hold the Anti Slavery convention you spoke to me about when at Worcester last Sunday ..." He asks if May could send William Lloyd Garrison, Wendell Phillips, or George Thompson to speak to the meeting. Henshaw predictis that a successful meeting "would produce an effect favorable to Anti Slavery growth and progress in [the] future."
