Letter from Edmund Quincy, Dedham Palace, [Massachusetts], to Samuel May, 1851 July 29
Description:
Edmund Quincy writes to Samuel May sending him a letter he received "from the worthy Cheever" and informing him "that the Sheldonvillians are ready to receive the Word gladly." He indicates that May is requested for the meeting and says that one other speaker should attend, although Quincy may also go. Quincy suggests "Brother Pomfret is one speaking the truth with power, & we are near enought to Walpole to hope for the ministrations of Brethren Thompson and Warren Allen." He tells May they will speak about this "face to face at the General Assembly of the Saints at Worcester." In the postscript, he tells May that it is not necessary to return Cheever's letter to him.
