William C. Coffin writes to Samuel May stating "that the 1st & 2d days of November would suit me better than any other time mentioned," for an antislavery meeting, and and he promises to "make the necessary arrangements for the meeting." He comments on Stephen S. Foster's illness and asks May to "urge upon friend Garrison the importance of his attending: he is always sure of drawing a crowded house."
