Letter from Sallie Holley, At Mrs. Fosters, to Samuel May, [1852] July 8th
Description:
Sallie Holley writes to Samuel May informing him that she is "not sufficiently vigorous to continue in the lecture field for the present." Holley says that she will try "the water treatment of Dr. Rogers" before traveling to New York to recuperate. She also tells May that she returned the letters he gave her to William Lloyd Garrison, remarking that "Mr. Garrison's letter to Gerrit Smith was so beautiful that I took a copy."
