Description:
George Thompson Scott writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to being advised to subscribe to the Liberator. He writes, "I have read the paper and as it respects slavery I like it" but he criticizes the recent articles for pieces on "Peace, nonresistance, the Sabbath, Church, and Ministry, and as it goes on the poor slave will never be liberated." He warns of divine judgement and calls Amos Bronson Alcott is "a companion of the devil and traveling the downward path to endless misery" and a "blasphemer."
