Built in 1832 and designed by the architect Isaiah Rogers. By the late 1850s, the Masons had outgrown the space and, in 1857, sold the building to be used as a Federal Courthouse. The building remained in use as a United States Courthouse from 1858 to 1885, and as a retail store (R. H. Stearns) until 1908, when it was torn down.
