New Jersey Worsted Spinning Company, Garfield, N.J. Gelatin silver print, [ca1910, no earlier than 1905]. Image depicts an exterior view of the New Jersey Worsted Spinning Company in Garfield, N.J. The building is a sprawling one-story complex with a four-story brick tower in the center and a high brick wall stretching the length of the building to the right of the tower. A water tower and chimney, which may be part of the complex, can be seen in the background, along with a number of commercial gas tanks. A tall wooden picket fence surrounds the property; a young girl and boy stand in front of the fence in the right-center. In the foreground is a road; note the blurred image of a horse-drawn wagon on the far left. The New Jersey Worsted Spinning Company began operating in 1905; it made worsted yarns. 94.5 x 41.5 cm.
