Augustus Aspinwall donated the lot at the corner of St. Paul Street and Aspinwall Avenue for the construction of St. Paul's Church (Episcopal), designed by Richard Upjohn, and which was consecrated December 23, 1852. The chapel on the north side was added during Rev. Storr's tenure. In 1885 the rectory was built in memory of Mr. Henry S. Chase by his children.
