William Thomas Briggs writes to Amos A. Phelps that his mother is unwilling to consent to sell the farm at present. He goes on reporting on the state of affairs at the church, a letter from Mr. Tillotson concerning certain dividends, and a potential offer for a lease of Phelps's house.
